Our 9 Days Classic Nicaragua tour brings together Nicaragua’s most famous destinations in one unforgettable journey. Explore the colourful streets of León and Granada, stand on the rim of the active Telica Volcano at sunset and slide down the black slopes of Cerro Negro on a volcano board. Hike through the cloud forest of Mombacho Volcano, unwind at the crystal-clear waters of Laguna de Apoyo and cruise through the beautiful Isletas de Granada as the sun disappears behind Lake Nicaragua.

The adventure continues on the volcanic island of Ometepe, where you’ll kayak through the mangroves of Río Istián, swim in the natural springs of Ojo de Agua and watch the sunset from Punta Jesús María. Every stop has been carefully selected to show you a different side of Nicaragua, combining nature, adventure, history and local traditions.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, alle waren super freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir haben tolle Touren gebucht und auch hier wurde auf jeden Wunsch eingegangen. Das Frühstück war super und auch zum Verweilen lädt das Café ein. Der Oreo Cheesecake war hammer! Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis unserer Meinung nach. Ein toller ruhiger Ort in mitten der vollen Stadt. Vielen Dank, wir würden uns jederzeit wieder dafür entscheiden.

We stayed 4 nights in Casa Mundo Verde and Leonel & Margreet completely transformed our experience of Leon simply by being so nice and so helpful. They organize cooking classes with traditional Nicaraguan food, walking tours and other activities. They work together with other tours so they were able to arrange anything we asked for. We were lucky to be in town during the traditional feast of Gritaria Chica, and Leonel instantly created a walking tour to allow the guests to experience the feast like a local. We had a lot of fun getting to know the tradition and collecting candies. If you are lucky enough to have half our experience in here, you're in for a great time. Oh, and they run in place a nice coffee shop, with very good local coffee and delicious cakes. Our room was also very nice, it was large, very clean and very comfortable beds. This is a very new place, it opened just a month ago, but I believe it will be one of the most popular in a short time.

Where does the 9 Days Classic Nicaragua Tour start?

The tour starts in León. If you’re arriving in Managua, we can help arrange transportation to León.

What is included in the tour?

The tour includes transportation, accommodation, guided activities, entrance fees, breakfast every morning and the meals listed in the itinerary. Optional activities and personal expenses are not included unless stated otherwise.

What should I pack for the tour?

We recommend bringing comfortable walking shoes, lightweight clothing, swimwear, a rain jacket, sunscreen, insect repellent, a reusable water bottle and a camera. A small daypack is also useful for daily excursions.

Will we have free time during the tour?

Absolutely! While the itinerary includes plenty of guided activities, you’ll also have free time to explore cities like León, Granada, Ometepe and San Juan del Sur at your own pace or simply relax.

Where will we stay?

You’ll stay in comfortable local accommodations carefully selected for their location, atmosphere and hospitality. Every overnight stop gives you the chance to experience a different part of Nicaragua.
