The place is run by local guide Leo and Dutch Margarita. Highly recommended to enquire after the guided tours of León. Also the best coffee in town. And smoothies.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, alle waren super freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir haben tolle Touren gebucht und auch hier wurde auf jeden Wunsch eingegangen. Das Frühstück war super und auch zum Verweilen lädt das Café ein. Der Oreo Cheesecake war hammer! Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis unserer Meinung nach. Ein toller ruhiger Ort in mitten der vollen Stadt. Vielen Dank, wir würden uns jederzeit wieder dafür entscheiden.

We stayed 4 nights in Casa Mundo Verde and Leonel & Margreet completely transformed our experience of Leon simply by being so nice and so helpful. They organize cooking classes with traditional Nicaraguan food, walking tours and other activities. They work together with other tours so they were able to arrange anything we asked for. We were lucky to be in town during the traditional feast of Gritaria Chica, and Leonel instantly created a walking tour to allow the guests to experience the feast like a local. We had a lot of fun getting to know the tradition and collecting candies. If you are lucky enough to have half our experience in here, you're in for a great time. Oh, and they run in place a nice coffee shop, with very good local coffee and delicious cakes. Our room was also very nice, it was large, very clean and very comfortable beds. This is a very new place, it opened just a month ago, but I believe it will be one of the most popular in a short time.

More than just a place to sleep

We believe where you stay can be part of the travel experience.

At Casa Mundo Verde, mornings start with a Nicaraguan breakfast and a good cup of coffee. During the day, you can use us as your base for exploring León, joining a walking tour or heading out to the volcanoes, beaches and nature around the city.

Back at our casa, there’s always time for a coffee, a conversation or a recommendation about where to go next.

We’re a small place, so it feels more like staying in a home than staying in a big hotel.

What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in is from 2:00 PM, and check-out is until 11:00 AM. If you need different times, let us know in advance and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.

Is breakfast included?

A traditional Nicaraguan breakfast is included with your stay and is served each morning from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Enjoy it with a freshly brewed local coffee or a refreshing glass of homemade jamaica (hibiscus tea).

Do you offer tours around Nicaragua?

Yes! We love helping our guests discover the very best of Nicaragua through authentic local experiences. While we offer tours to iconic destinations like León, Granada, Ometepe, and the volcanoes, our favourite places to explore are the wild and lesser-known regions of Indio Maíz Biological Reserve, Macizo de Peñas Blancas, Solentiname, and Los Guatuzos, where nature, wildlife, and local communities create truly unforgettable experiences.

Can I book tours after I arrive?

Of course! There’s no need to plan everything in advance. Our team is happy to help you choose and arrange tours during your stay, so you can travel at your own pace.

Absolutely. We can assist with private transfers, airport transportation and local travel to make your journey as smooth as possible.
