We didn't build a hotel.
We grew a home.

Casa Mundo Verde is our home in León, created from our love for Nicaragua, travel, good coffee and sharing meaningful experiences with people from around the world.

— Locally owned. Rooted in León.

We are Margreet & Leonel.

Casa Mundo Verde started with a love for travel, Nicaragua and the simple idea of creating a place where people can feel at home. A place where coffee, community and meaningful travel come together. We love to share our home, our coffee and our favorite side of Nicaragua with you.

We are Leonel from Nicaragua and Margreet from the Netherlands, two people from different sides of the world who met through travel and discovered how much we enjoy sharing our cultures, stories and love for Nicaragua with others.

For us, Casa Mundo Verde is more than a place to stay. It is a place to slow down, enjoy a good cup of Nicaraguan coffee, share stories and discover the country we love.

Our Vision

Our vision is to create a place where travelers feel at home in Nicaragua. We bring together good coffee, local culture, nature and genuine connections. We want to help travelers discover Nicaragua through meaningful local experiences. We believe the best journeys are about people, stories and places. Casa Mundo Verde is a home base for exploring, relaxing and connecting. Most of all, we want guests to leave with great memories and a reason to return.

Our Mission

Our mission is to make travelers feel at home while discovering the real Nicaragua. We work closely with local guides, families, farmers, artists and small businesses, creating opportunities that support the communities around us. By choosing local products and experiences, we help keep the value of tourism in Nicaragua and give back to the people who make this country special. At Casa Mundo Verde, we believe travel is about connecting, sharing and making a positive difference.

— Our story

From travel to Casa Mundo Verde

Travel has always been a big part of our lives. Together, we’ve explored Nicaragua from its volcanoes and beaches to its rainforests, mountains, islands and small communities.

Over time, we realized that the places we love most are often the ones where you have time to connect, with nature, with local people and with the culture around you.

That feeling became the inspiration for Casa Mundo Verde.

— Stay. Coffee. Culture.

A home away from home.

We created Casa Mundo Verde as a place where travelers can feel comfortable and welcome, while having the freedom to experience Nicaragua in their own way.

Start your morning with a traditional Nicaraguan breakfast and a good local coffee. Take some time to relax in the house, meet other travelers, or simply enjoy the atmosphere. When you’re ready to explore, we’re here to help you find the right experience.

Whether you want to climb a volcano, explore the jungle, learn to cook Nicaraguan food, or simply discover León on foot, you can arrange your adventures with us whenever you feel ready.

— Stay longer. Connect deeper.

What our guests say.

Traveling with local people

For us, traveling is also about the people you meet along the way.

We work closely with local guides, families, farmers, artists and small businesses throughout Nicaragua. We believe that tourism should create opportunities for the people and communities that make this country so special.

Our favorite places to travel are often the ones where nature and local life come together. Indio Maíz, Macizo de Peñas Blancas, Solentiname, and Los Guatuzos are some of the places closest to our hearts.

We want to share these places with you, but also make sure that the people who call them home are part of the journey.

— Stay. Coffee. Culture.

Welcome to our home.

Casa Mundo Verde is our home and we want you to feel that way too.

Come for a coffee, stay for a few nights, ask us a hundred questions, join a tour or simply sit down and have a chat. There is always time for a story, a recommendation or another cup of coffee.

Our house is your house. Welcome to Casa Mundo Verde.

— Good to know
